From a 13-year-old shredding Van Halen's Eruption to fronting Paris rock band Spin Twice — the extraordinary journey of Tina Šetkić, one of the most gifted guitarists of her generation.

Tina Šetkić — Paris, France
"She started playing at 6 and by 13 she was shredding solos that seasoned professionals struggle to master. Tina S is not just talented — she is generational."
Born Tina Šetkić on April 7, 1999, in Évry, France, to a family of Yugoslav descent, Tina began her musical journey at age six with classical guitar lessons at a local conservatory. Her first guitar was an Alvaro classical, and she quickly demonstrated an extraordinary natural aptitude.
By age nine she was covering the Eagles' Hotel California. At thirteen, she discovered electric rock and began studying under jazz-rock guitarist Renaud Louis-Servais — a partnership that would unleash her full potential. Her inspirations were female guitar legends Ana Vidović and Orianthi.
In 2013, a 14-year-old Tina uploaded a cover of Eddie Van Halen's iconic solo Eruption to YouTube. Within a week it had been viewed four million times. The internet had found its new guitar hero. By early 2016, her videos had accumulated over 60 million views.
French guitar manufacturer Vigier Guitars made her a featured artist in 2013 — an endorsement she has maintained ever since. Her playing even caught the attention of Wolfgang Van Halen, son of the legendary Eddie.
From her first Alvaro classical to her signature Vigier Excalibur, Tina's instruments and technique are as distinctive as her sound.

Alternative Rock
After a 7-year absence from YouTube, Tina Šetkić returned in 2023 not with another cover — but with something far more personal: original music.
Spin Twice was born in Paris in 2022, when Tina joined forces with vocalist Thomas Smagghe and drummer Augustin Bauer. The band's sound blends Tina's technical guitar mastery with modern alternative rock sensibilities — melodic, powerful, and unmistakably their own.
Their debut EP Gravity (2023) proved that Tina's years of silence had been spent honing a new artistic voice. In 2024, rhythm guitarist Samir Yonis joined, and the single Tidal Wave marked a new peak in the band's evolution.
